What To Expect In Class:

If the purpose of Engineering education is to convey the skills and knowledge required to become a successful Engineer, then my 25+ years of industry experience across aerospace and high-tech, in large companies as well as startups, can help guide a student to reach this goal.

While subject area knowledge is necessary, it is not always sufficient. Many, if not most, Engineering jobs require critical thinking, teamwork, and crisp communication (both written and verbal) in order to be effective.

As such, my focus on teaching will be to try and imbue those skills through open-ended problems that can be solved in multiple ways, group projects and/or labs, and presentations/recitations alongside the basics of knowledge and problem solving. Combined, these skills should provide the necessary “tools” to succeed as an Engineer.
